Sep-12-2009 — Citing their close partnership in improving Buffalo and building for future growth and prosperity, NYS Attorney General endorses Mayor Brown for a second term.
South Buffalo News Endorsement
Sep-04-2009 — In a front page endorsement in its September 2nd edition, the paper wrote, “Mayor Brown has created a solid foundation for moving Buffalo forward and he has built upon the opportunities that will make the city stronger and safer. The South Buffalo News believes very strongly that Mayor Brown deserves another term as Mayor of Buffalo.”

Sep-03-2009 — Citing the Mayor's dedication and clear vision for Buffalo, Congressman Brian Higgins announced his support of Mayor Byron W. Brown for re-election as Mayor of the City of Buffalo
NARAL Pro-Choice New York Endorsement
Aug-25-2009 — In an August 21st letter, Sabrina Shulman, Political Director of NARAL Pro-Choice New York, stated, “We are pleased to officially endorse you in your campaign for re-election to the office of Mayor of Buffalo. NARAL Pro-Choice New York would like to thank you for your dedication to and support of reproductive rights issues.”
Steelworkers Endorsement
Aug-24-2009 — Frank Palombaro, Legislative Chairman of United Steelworkers, District 4, wrote in a August 20th letter to Mayor Brown, “The United Steelworkers District 4 Legislative committee is pleased to announce our official endorsement of your re-election as the Mayor of the City of Buffalo. The Steelworkers believe you share our core values of family, jobs and community and will support the issues of importance to labor and all working men and women throughout Western New York.”

Aug-22-2009 — In a joint letter from Kevin R. Hintz, PEF Region 1 Coordinator and Barbara Rock, PEF Region 1 Political Action Committee Chair, the union leaders wrote, “After much consideration by the Region 1 Political Action Committee (PAC) as well as the PEF Statewide PAC, we are endorsing your candidacy.”

Aug-19-2009 — In an August 18th statement, BTF President Phil Rumore stated, “We are proud to endorse Mayor Brown in the primary. [He] has established an air of civility and thoughtfulness to city government.
